Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The skates are fantastic; I previously owned a set of K2 Rollerblades that I used until they broke, as well as a pair of "Rollerblades" rollerblades. Both of the boots were made of a soft material. They were fantastic! These Inline skates are hardgoods with a tight fit! I normally wear a size 9 but these fit perfectly! I'm 5'9" and 175 lbs for reference if needed. I was blown away with how professionally everything was built and how well they rode! All of the buckles are spring-loaded to aid latch management, are made of plastic, and are painted gold, just as other branded skates, so this is very typical. They also come with black laces that must be laced by the wearer. I tried both with and without the laces, and found that taking the laces off entirely made the boot too tight around the Cuboid bone (the little bone that sticks out on the side of the foot). The footwear was much more comfortable after removing the laces totally. In terms of hardware, The bearings are ABEC-7 and must be greased before being used for the first time. Use silicone-based oil instead of DW-40 for a longer and smoother glide. The axel screws were mechanically tightened in the factory, and removing them to grease the bearings required a tremendous amount of torque. The skates went MUCH faster once they were oiled than they had been before. These skates are faster than my K2's and have a far smoother ride than any other skate I've tried previously. The aluminum frames are light and have been painted a gorgeous gold hue, but they will eventually be scratched by rock pecks and normal wear and tear, revealing the natural aluminum color beneath. But only after they've been subjected to wear and tear.To be honest, I had never heard of his brand before purchasing a pair of three wheel roller blades for close to 0, and after trying them out and experimenting with the hardware (oiling, loosening screws), they are the nicest pair I have ever worn.
