What I can report back to you is, these are really damn nice to have on when it comes to using scopes. However, because they are so thin, baffling suffers and with certain high powered rifles you can get a bit louder sounds. I've never had a time where I was shooting and I lose hearing to any ringing. The Rifleman ACH impact sport ear muffs are an electronic hearing protection unit that offers good hearing protection with an NRR of 21 while delivering quality sound. The lightweight unit weighs only 8.3 ounces and folds for easy storage. Rifleman ACH ear protection is ideal for indoor and outdoor use, and has a razor thin headband and can be easily worn with combat helmets and other hats and headgear. It features an input jack for external audio sources and dual controls for true situational awareness. Uses four (4) AAA batteries (not included).
